The person will be our ERP applications expert, able to absorb and learn current systems & processes quickly and thoroughly, and lead troubleshooting efforts.   Analyzes, documents, optimizes, and takes ownership of company applications.   Helps end users become self-sufficient while maintaining data integrity in an operational and regulatory controlled environment.

This person will help assess and select our next ERP system, and should have experience with either on-premises or cloud based ERP systems (both would be ideal).  In addition, this person must have some experience with ERP implementations, including design/build/test/deploy/hyper-care phases.

Experience is required with reading code, testing, troubleshooting and data/process analysis with concentration on creating efficiencies, ensuring regulatory compliance and validating data integrity in support of the organization’s business processes, reporting and data analysis needs.  Primary support for application related end user help desk tickets and all EDI processes.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience.  Candidates should be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent troubleshooting/analytical skills.

• Apply a risk based approach to all applicable elements of the QMS
• Recommends and assists in the development of new ERP application requirements due to changes in business needs. This includes, but is not limited to, company growth, regulatory compliance, efficiency creation.
• Recommends and assists in the development of cross-departmental system process improvements concerning application utilization to gain improvements with data accuracy, end user self-sufficiency, compliance and departmental efficiencies.
• Ensures process or system changes are harmonious across the organization and meet regulatory requirements prior to implementation.
• Troubleshoot and analyze data for potential discrepancies and recommend/implement process changes for correction.
• Designs, implements, and maintains simple to moderately complex databases. Will work with the business and Database Specialist on complex projects
• Ability to create and maintain documentation such as flow charts and technical designs in order to assist with application development and operation. Also responsible for writing user documentation by creating manuals and providing training for users to describe system operating procedures, and assist with change control processes.
• Monitor daily EDI alerts and processes, make corrections when needed and set up new customers and vendors.
• Protect the integrity and confidentiality of information. This includes all appropriate efforts to enforce security measures and change control processes to protect the systems and the data contained in them.
• Convey, enforce and observe all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, quality of work and confidentiality of information.
• Backup support for the Database Specialist
• Assist other IT employees as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in the Information Technology field with a strong analytical and operational background
• 2-3 years’ minimum experience with ERP applications including hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, and master data management. Experience with SMB ERP (Great Plains, NetSuite) systems is ideal
• Deep understanding of cross-functional business processes including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Plan to Manufacture.
• Strong project management skills including creation of process maps, project plans, timelines, budgets and managing delivery of projects spanning multiple business functions (Finance, Operations, Sales, etc)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with relational databases and light programming preferably with Microsoft Access, SQL
• Fluency in Microsoft Office software, including Office 365
• Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics, Crystal XML/ASP skills, and Dynamics CRM skills a plus
• Microsoft Power BI familiarity a plus
• Regulatory familiarity and system adherence experience is critical
• Ability to share knowledge, teach and learn is essential
• Some experience with ERP system selections strongly desired including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and gap analysis.
