JOB TITLE: Warehouse Specialist – Shipping, Receiving & International

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Specialist – Shipping, Receiving & International is a multi-functional role responsible for supporting inbound receiving, domestic and international shipping, inventory accuracy, and general warehouse operations. This includes unloading and inspecting incoming product, processing receipts through ERP/WMS systems, picking and staging orders, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with FDA, DEA, DQSA, ISO 13485, and international customs requirements.
This position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving
• Receive, unload, and load inbound and outbound trucks.
• Inspect incoming product for damage, accuracy, labeling, packaging, and compliance.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and shelf life.
• Use ERP/WMS systems to process receipts, print documentation, and complete putaway.
• Deliver received packages to internal departments daily.
• Stock flow racks and picking shelves each morning as scheduled.
• Safely move, stack, and palletize product in high-bay racking.
• Maintain receiving logs and accurate documentation.

Domestic Shipping (UPS / FedEx / LTL)
• Pick, check, pack, and ship domestic customer orders following established SOPs.
• Operate shipping software (UPS, FedEx, ShipCenter) to weigh packages, print labels, and generate documentation.
• Prepare cartons, apply dunnage, seal, label, and stage for carrier pickup.
• Process bills of lading (BOLs) for LTL shipments and coordinate with carriers.
• Support clearing the shipping line and staging completed orders.

International Shipping
• Pick and verify international orders, including correct lot tracking and serialization when required.
• Prepare and complete documentation for export shipments including:
o Commercial invoices
o Packing lists
o Bills of lading
o Tariff/HS codes
o Incoterms
o SLI (Shipper’s Letter of Instruction)
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliant processing.
• Use ERP/WMS systems to record shipments and maintain documentation.

Inventory Control
• Perform cycle counts and participate in annual physical inventory.
• Investigate and resolve location errors, transaction issues, and count discrepancies.
• Support replenishment, returns processing, and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, logs, and movement documentation.

General Warehouse Operations
• Assist with picking, packing, repacking, replenishment, labeling, and staging.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, dock stockers, and pallet jacks safely.
• Follow all SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Comply with all FDA, DEA, DQSA, ISO 13485, and internal quality guidelines.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety in all work areas.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous receiving, shipping, or international shipping experience required.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn ERP/WMS systems.
• Ability to read and interpret POs, packing slips, invoices, BOLs, and international shipping documentation.
• Working knowledge of tariff codes, Incoterms, SLI, and customs requirements.
• Valid forklift certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, and manually wrap pallets.
• Ability to perform repetitive warehouse tasks.
